TRAP LEAGUE INFORAMATION

SUMMER LEAGUE 2025 (Tuesday/Wednesday)

Team Captains meeting is APRIL 8th at 6pm.  Membership for each team member is required for only $30 per year. The sponsor fee remains at $40. To improve checking teams in each week we ask your team will pay for the whole season upfront by the first night of league. This will help our club and make it easier for your team captain every week. The cost for birds for the 2025 season will be $960 per team ($192 per team member--$12 per week.) Please have your team captain pay the $960 with one check/cash or card by the first night of league. Remember, we do accept credit cards. 


The number of teams will be limited to 20 teams per night. Teams from 2024 will get first priority.

 Summer league is shot on two nights, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. League will begin April 29th and April 30th, 2025 and end August 19th and 20st with a bye week during the week of July 4th.


FALL LEAGUE 2024 (Thursdays)

 Runs for eight weeks beginning September 4th, 2025. Membership for each team member is required for only $30 per year. The sponsor fee remains at $40. To improve operations we ask you to pay for the whole season upfront on the first night of league. This will help our club and make it easier for your team captain every week. The cost for birds for the 2024 season will be $520 per team ($104 per team member--$13 per week.)  Remember, we do accept credit cards. 


Please help us keep wasted birds to a minimum.  Our traps are voice activated so do NOT talk when you are on the shooting line because it may release a bird. If you use a pump or semi-auto shotgun, please load your shell away from the microphone as the sound may also release a bird.

League Rules

  • All shooters (including subs) must be a JSC member (It is $30/year in 2024)
  • New teams must come out on a Sunday before the first night of league to learn trap safety, scoring and house loading procedures.
  • Each team is expected to be at their assigned trap, ready to shoot at their scheduled time. Shooting must be completed before the next team is scheduled. 
  • After your first round of 25 please get your shells and promptly return to the shooting line. Please help us stay on schedule.
  •  All teams will shoot 16 yard and handi-cap targets on the same trap. 
  • Each team is required to provide a scorer for the team that follows them. However, if your team shoots at 6:30 pm, you are required to have a scorer for the 6:00 pm & 7:00 pm team.
  • Teams are responsible for loading the house after there round is complete.
  •  Each team consists of five full-time shooters and unlimited subs (full-time shooters and subs cannot shoot on another team on the same night.
  • Teams must have a minimum of three shooters in order to shoot. A team will receive 70% of the team’s per person average for each missing shooter. The team must pay for five shooters even if shooting with fewer than five.  
  • Teams missing a night will make-up later at a prearranged time or shoot ahead at a prearranged time. 
  • A team is expected to shoot regardless of the weather.  Hazardous conditions or hazardous forecasted conditions will be ruled on at the club by the Board. (If a squad is interrupted by severe weather, the entire 50 targets will be shot over) 
  • Substitutions may not be made after the squad has started to shoot each round of 25 targets. 
  •  ATA Rules apply. 
  • EYE and EAR protection is NOW MANDATORY! 
  • NO shot larger than 7.5 and NO shells larger than 3 Dram.  Anyone exhibiting the unsafe handling of firearms may be asked to leave and/or be expelled.  ALWAYS point your muzzle away from people even when it is unloaded.
  • Please leave your gun case in your vehicle. It is very important that you carry your gun with the action open at all times. If it is in a case no one can see that your gun is unloaded.
  • Anyone exhibiting unsafe handling of firearms may be asked to leave and/or be expelled from membership.

The Board of Directors reserves the right to change/add to the rules as necessary. (Team captains may be asked to meet in an effort to resolve potential issues)  


LEague HOA/Team Classifying

Summer League

  • To be eligible for the high over all average and the high 16-yd average award for the league, a shooter must shoot 14 of the 16 league scores (50 targets) (all scores will be used to determine the high average award winners) (shooter is not eligible for both awards, the 16yd average award will be determined first)
  • Teams will be classified after the fifth week of league. Teams with fewer than five scores will be classified based off averages of there current scores.

Fall League

  • To be eligible for the high over all average and the high 16-yd average award for the league, a shooter must shoot 7 out of the 8 league scores (50 targets) (all scores will be used to determine the high average award winners) (shooter is not eligible for both awards, the 16yd average award will be determined first)
  • Teams will be classified after the fourth week of league. Teams with fewer than four scores will be classified based off averages of there current scores.
